The position exists to maintain efficiency of the company’s ICT and computer systems by ensuring the systems are working properly through programming, data capturing, installing and maintaining computer network infrastructure hardware and software and ensures the databases are well administered.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
 Troubleshoots and resolves network related challenges as per the incident management guidelines
 Implements the secure Virtual Private Networks for remote employees and 3rd parties, test and certify all new network configurations, deployments and security mechanisms
 Documents and aligns physical and logical network diagrams and architecture for the core and branch networks, and the network IP addressing structure
 Undertakes capacity management and monitor network parameters and metrics to inform future plans
 Implements and maintains installations of secure LANs, WANs and various network segmentation systems
 Maintains an up-to-date technical inventory for all networking hardware and software assets
 Administers the internal and perimeter security devices which include Checkpoint and Sophos firewalls
 Undertakes comprehensive security patches and upgrades on network devices
 Monitors the health of the Disaster Recovery network infrastructure
 Synchronizes network designs and software versions between the Live and DR networking infrastructure
 Undertakes VOIP network segmentation, setup, troubleshooting and resolves incidents
Qualifications and Work Competencies
 Degree in Information Systems/Computer Science/ Information Technology or equivalent.
 Certification in Routing and Switching and Security (CCNA Routing & Switching, CCNA Security, CEH or equivalent), CCNP,
CCSP, CISSP, CCNA, CEH or equivalent
 At least 3 years’ relevant experience of computer networking in a WAN environment.
