Key Responsibilities
• Work closely with the unit Human Resource Manager, General Manager and Department Heads to
align talent development strategies with departmental goals and overall unit objectives.
• Work closely with the Head of Capacity Building to implement the Serena Academy, Talent
Development and Leadership programs and Performance Management in the Unit.
• Facilitate SOP writing, continuous reviews, update and training of SOPs (Standard Operating
Procedures) for the Unit.
• Develop and conduct orientation programs for new employees to introduce them to Serena Hotels
Brand, culture, values and service standards.
• Identify training needs and design customized programs for the Unit working closely with the Head of Capacity Building.
• Develop and implement the training calendar for the Unit that covers both technical skills and soft
skills.
• Deliver Serena’s Training of Trainers programs for all the departments in the Unit and ensure there is continuous training in the departments.
• Jointly with Head of Capacity Building and the Unit HR Manager Coordinate and facilitate technical
skills development programs, follow up and reviews as per the training calendar for the unit.
• Direct access to online learning platforms for all staff and effectively implement the e-learning
programs at the Unit constantly monitoring utilization and learning progress.
• Coordinate outsourced programs such as leadership and exposures after approval by Management.
• Encourage employees to pursue professional certifications and credentials relevant to their roles in the hotel industry.
• Assist in arranging mentorship programs or coaching for employees who need personalized guidance
and support to develop their talents and reach their full potential.
• Deliver agreed leadership and people management programs in the Unit.
• Assist the Department Heads with performance management planning and reviews.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor’s degree in HR, or Hotel Management.
• Proven experience in talent development within the hospitality industry, preferably in a five-star hotel setting
• Strong understanding of adult learning principles and innovative training methodologies
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
• 4 years’ experience in talent management, training and development preferably in the hospitality
context.
