The Responsibilities of this role will include but not limited to the following:
- Conducting routine lubrication and greasing of machinery and equipment
- Monitoring and inspecting equipment to identify any signs of wear, damage, or malfunction that may require immediate attention
- Following Safety Protocols and Guidelines while working with lubricants and greases to mitigate potential hazards
- Keeping accurate records of lubrication activities, including the type and quantity of lubricants used, maintenance performed, and any issues encountered
- Collaborating with maintenance Technicians and Engineers to identify equipment lubrication requirements and participate in developing maintenance plans
- Performing regular inspections and maintenance tasks to ensure lubrication systems are functioning correctly
- Maintaining inventory of lubricants and greases, place orders as needed, and ensured proper storage and handling to prevent contamination or degradation
- Keeping work areas clean and organized by ensuring tools and equipment are properly maintained and ready for use
- Troubleshooting and resolving lubrication-related issues promptly to minimize downtime and production delays
To be considered for this position, the candidate should meet the following minimum requirements:
- Grade 12 Certificate or equivalent
- Certification or training in lubrication techniques and equipment maintenance shall be added advantage
- All academic qualifications should be verified and certified by Zambia Qualifications Authority
- Familiarity with different types of machinery and equipment commonly found in the Mining industry
- Good Communication Skills
