- To assist the Dewatering section in the handling, construction and maintenance of all dewatering systems as well as ancillary services, with the focus on all Wheel Dozer activities that can aid the Dewatering team with achieving the set goals on a daily basis.
Specific Job Responsibility
- Conduct pre start and post inspection of a wheel dozer.
- Ensuring that the house keeping of the wheel dozer is maintained to a good standard.
- Report mechanical defects immediately.
- Ensure good operation practices.
- Move engineering equipment (pumps/other equipment) according to a plan and instructions.
- Assist with pump pad construction as and when required.
- Assist with berm wall construction as and when required.
- Safe transferring of HDPE pipes from welding bays to duty points.
- Report all substandard/unsafe conditions to Supervisor.
- Follow applicable safety procedures.
- Ability to follow and execute work instructions in a safe and orderly manner.
- Carry out any other tasks as may be delegated upon you by the supervisor.

Experience required to perform in this job
- At least 2 years’ experience in mining and heavy earthwork machinery operation.
- Knowledge on operating a excavator and its mechanical capabilities.
Qualifications
- Full Grade 12 School Certificate with a minimum of 5 passes
- Valid Driver’s license with at least 2 years driving experience
- All qualifications must be certified by ZAQA
