Our client whose operations primarily involve traffic management and enforcement of road laws and regulations requires an experienced Mobile Operations Manager to join their team. Reporting to the Managing Director, you will be primarily responsible for managing the mobile in-vehicle speed enforcement operations including, but not limited to, scheduling, monitoring, fleet management, assessing road crash statistics and providing timely response services to drivers.
Responsibilities.
- Develop and ensure compliance to standard operating procedures to secure utmost operational integrity.
- Report incidents that might affect the integrity of operations.
- Attend to accidents/incidents that might affect the safety of drivers and/or the integrity of the company.
- Schedule mobile in-vehicle speed enforcement operations, based on road crash statistics, in close coordination with our client.
- Assess routes, and report route deviations.
- Manage all hiring, training, vetting, scheduling and continuous performance assessment of staff, drivers and observers.
- Manage the company fleet effectively.
- Collate information and evidence to support investigations into incidents and provide accurate reports.
- Undertake operational support duties as required to include, but not limited to performance monitoring, seasonal duties, contingency planning and audit work.
- Keep the fleet in impeccable condition, and timely schedule services.
- Report issues regarding the enforcement equipment to the technical staff in a timely manner.
- Assist the operations team with all operational requirements as directed to include, but not limited to location visits, competency evidence and Operational Manual procedures.
Requirements
- Must have at least a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Logistics Management, or any related field of study.
- Minimum five (5) years of working experience in the same or similar role.
- Possess extensive experience in the development, implementation and maintenance of procedures.
- Must be able to engage the media and state security agencies.
- Must have advanced fleet management experience and have managed mobile/field teams.
- Excellent problem-solving, decision-making and report writing skills.
- Strong organizational, time management and communication (written and verbal) skills.
- Should be hands-on, flexible, dynamic and be determined to make a lifesaving difference to road users.
- Must have excellent knowledge of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
