Key Responsibilities
Leadership and Administration
• Assist the Principal:
– Collaborate with the Principal in the overall leadership and administration of the school, contributing to the development and execution of the school’s vision, mission, and strategic goals.
• Supervision and Evaluation:
– Oversee and support the professional development, supervision, and evaluation of teaching staff.
• Student Wellfare:
– Collaborate with the Principal to maintain a positive and disciplined school environment, address student behaviour, and implement appropriate interventions.
• Pedagogical Leadership and Administration of the relevant curricula area (eg: PYP, IMYC, IGCSE, IBDP)
Curriculum Development and Implementation
• Curriculum Planning:
– Lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of the school’s curriculum, ensuring alignment with educational standards and best practices.
• Professional Development:
– Provide guidance and support to teachers in curriculum design, instructional methods, and the integration of innovative educational practices.
• Assessment and Evaluation:
– Oversee the development and implementation of assessment strategies, ensuring regular evaluation of student progress and curriculum effectiveness.
Educational Innovation and Technology
• Technology Integration:
– Foster the integration of technology into the curriculum to enhance teaching and learning experiences.
• Innovative Programs:
– Explore and implement innovative educational programs that cater to diverse learning needs and prepare students for the future.
Community Engagement
• Parental Communication:
– Communicate regularly with parents, fostering positive relationships and providing updates on curriculum, student progress, and school initiatives.
• Community Partnerships:
Build and maintain positive relationships with the community, local organisations, and other educational institutions to enhance the school’s resources and opportunities.
Professional Development
• Leadership Development:
– Encourage and support the professional growth of staff, providing leadership development opportunities and fostering a culture of continuous learning.
• Workshops and Training:
– Organise and facilitate workshops, training sessions, and professional development activities for faculty and staff.
Qualifications
• Preferred to hold a Master’s degree in Education, Educational Leadership, or a related field.
• Relevant teaching experience with a proven track record of leadership and curriculum development.
• Administrative certification or licence, if required by local regulations.
• Strong understanding of educational trends, standards, and best practices.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
