Responsibilities
Manage and lead a team of logistics professionals, including freight forwarders and support staff.
Oversee all aspects of freight forwarding operations, including booking shipments, coordinating transportation, and managing documentation.
Develop and implement strategic plans to optimize logistics processes and improve efficiency.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, carriers, and other stakeholders to ensure exceptional service delivery.
Monitor performance metrics and KPIs to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed.
Stay current on industry trends, regulations, and best practices to drive innovation and continuous improvement.
Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
Qualifications & Skills
Grade Twelve (12) Certificate.
Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, Purchasing and supply, business administration, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in freight forwarding operations, with a demonstrated progression of increasing responsibility.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
Proven track record of driving results and achieving targets in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of international trade regulations and customs procedures.
Proficiency in logistics software and Microsoft Office suite.
