Your duties will include but are not limited to the following:
- Conduct prestart checks of the Machine before commencing work
- Ensure the equipment is kept clean in all its interior and exterior components.
- Ensure the Machine is refueled in each shift.
- Hauling material
- Work under the supervision of shift supervisors to maintain site safety standards
- Report all defects on the Machine to the maintenance and mine dispatch section.
- Carry out any other adhoc production related requests, as necessary.
To be considered for the position, you must meet the following requirements:
- Full Grade 12 School Certificate.
- Must be certified to operate Haul Trucks in the category of Hitachi 4500/5000, Komatsu 930E/960, or Liebherr T284 Rigid Dump Trucks.
- Minimum 2 years experience in a similar role in the mining industry
- Must have sound Knowledge of safe working procedures and mine operations
- Must be able to pass psychometric/ Dover Tests
- Should poses certificates of competence in operating Mining Haul Trucks
- Holder of Class C driving license is an added advantage
