The position holder will be responsible for all operational aspects of the humanitarian intervention and ensuring the quality and effectiveness of Plan’s emergency response within his/her designated geographical area mainly related to three core areas: Emergency health and nutrition, Emergency agriculture and Emergency WASH related projects including handling manpower and budgetary aspects of the projects.
The Individual
MSc/BSc in nutrition, Social studies, Public Health Rural Development, Agriculture, Economics, Development studies, Hydraulic Engineering, Sociology or other related fields is required
At least 5+ years of relevant experience out of which 3 years on a senior level experience or demonstrated equivalent combination.
Good managerial experience, including managing budgets
Safeguarding Children and Young People (Safeguarding) and Gender Equality and Inclusion (GEI)
Understands and puts into practice the responsibilities under Safeguarding and GEI policies and Plan International’s Code of Conduct (CoC), ensuring that concerns are reported and managed in accordance with the appropriate procedures.
Ensures that all staff signed safeguarding policies;
Implement Plan International’s global policies for Safeguarding Children and Young People and Gender Equality and Inclusion are fully embedded in day to day work.
