UYDEL is seeking a meticulous and ethical Internal Auditor to ensure financial integrity,
compliance, and operational efficiency within UYDEL programmes. The auditor will assess
internal controls, identify risks, and recommend improvements to safeguard project resources
and enhance accountability.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct regular audits of financial records, procurement processes, and operational
systems.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls and risk management frameworks.
• Review compliance with donor regulations, national laws, and UYDEL policies.
• Prepare audit reports with actionable recommendations for management.
• Support fraud prevention, detection, and investigation efforts.
• Monitor implementation of audit recommendations and corrective actions.
• Collaborate with finance and program teams to strengthen financial oversight.
Qualifications and Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or ACCA certification
preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in internal auditing, preferably in NGO or donor-funded
projects.
• Strong understanding of financial reporting standards, procurement regulations, and risk
management.
• Proficiency in audit software and financial systems.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and report-writing skills.
Desirable Attributes:
• High integrity and confidentiality.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Familiarity with climate-resilience or health sector projects is an advantage.
