Job Purpose: To develop and monitor implementation of strategies and procedures for the procurement and disposal function in accordance with PPDA regulations.
Key responsibilities
1. Develop and implement the annual procurement and disposal plan in line with the approved budget and company priorities.
2. Coordinate the preparation of bidding documents, solicitation of bids, and evaluation of
proposals in accordance with procurement laws and regulations.
3. Prepare and submits timely procurement reports to management and regulatory authorities.
4. Provide technical support to the Contracts Committee and ensure proper documentation of
procurement proceedings.
5. Review procurement requisitions and ensures accuracy and completeness before processing.
6. Monitor the performance of procurement staff and mentor staff in user departments to comply
with PPDA requirements.
Job specifications
• Bachelor’s degree (honours) and Master’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management,
Business Administration, or a related field from a recognized institution.
• Must possess a professional qualification such as CIPS or its equivalent
• Strong planning and self-organization skills, communication skills, analytical skills and
attention to details
• Six (6) years working experience, three (3) of which should have been at senior or supervisory level in procurement in a reputable organization.
