Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic Collaboration: Cultivate and maintain senior-level relationships with both business and IT stakeholders to ensure alignment between data modeling initiatives and strategic business objectives.
• Platform Optimization & Leadership: Evaluate and select optimal data platforms, develop complex analytical datasets, and design sophisticated reporting environments that enable self-service capabilities and foster data-driven decision-making.
• Architectural Oversight: Own the comprehensive understanding of business, customer, and technology requirements, with a proactive approach to identifying risks, opportunities, and potential innovations to enhance data-driven capabilities.
• Thought Leadership & Advocacy: Act as the subject-matter expert and champion for CIB Client Data, ensuring the highest standards of data quality and maintaining clear, concise communication of data architecture and strategy to diverse stakeholders.
• Complex Problem Solving & Innovation: Utilize advanced analytical expertise and creative problem-solving to address intricate business challenges, offering innovative solutions that drive strategic outcomes and operational efficiencies.

Minimum Education and Experience:

• BSc Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or equivalent (NQF Level 7).
• A minimum of 5 years in a data analytics or business analyst role, with a proven track record of leading data-driven initiatives.
• Advanced proficiency in SQL and substantial experience with data visualization tools such as PowerBI, SAS, and QlikView.

Knowledge and Skills:

• Expertise in advanced data analytics tools and platforms, including Excel, Hadoop, SQL, SAS, and Hive.
• Demonstrated ability to craft and communicate compelling narratives from complex data sets, with outstanding presentation and communication skills.
• In-depth understanding of the entire data value chain—from data management practices to sophisticated data analytics.
• Exceptional analytical capabilities, coupled with a meticulous attention to detail and commitment to data integrity.
